The same 9.5 mm resilient foam as Elephant Skin with a fine woven grid face and no yellow marking, so a run disappears into the floor instead of drawing a line across it. Use it where a marked walkway would be read as a route rather than a standing position.
The bevel runs down both long edges. Cut ends are square.

Construction
Bevelled on the two long edges.
The roll leaves the factory with a bevel down both long edges. We cut across the width, so those bevels stay on your matting and the two cut ends are square. Butt the cut ends to a wall, a bench leg or a machine base and the exposed edges are the ones people step over.
Comfort foam, stated plainly.
Grid Grey is 9.5 mm resilient foam. It is a comfort mat for dry standing areas, not a solid modular deck, and the thickness is what separates part-shift standing from a full shift. Choose 12.7 mm if the duty is the other way round.
The other three.
Elephant Skin is the same 9.5 mm foam with a textured black face and yellow bevels. Bubble Grey is 12.7 mm foam with the same face as this one, for the heavier duty. All four are on the range page.

- Can I buy Grid Grey matting by the metre?
- Yes. It is sold cut to size by the linear metre, from one metre up to a full 18.3 m roll, in half metre steps. Set the length on this page and the price is worked out as you go. There is no quote to request and nothing to ask for.
- What is the shortest length I can order?
- 1 m, and lengths go up in half metres from there. The longest cut is 18 m, and past that there is the full 18.3 m roll, which by then costs less anyway.
- How long does it take?
- 5 working days from order to despatch. It is cut to order from stock we hold, so those days are the cut and the despatch rather than a wait for the factory.
- How much is Grid Grey matting per linear metre?
- £32.95 or €37.50 per metre at 60 cm wide, £42.95 or €50.05 at 91 cm and £57.95 or €67.10 at 122 cm. Both figures are real catalogue prices set separately, not one converted from the other, and the price you see is the price charged.
- Is a full roll cheaper than buying the same length cut?
- At 15.5 m and above at 91 cm wide, yes. A full 18.3 m roll is £662.95, and 15.5 m bought as a cut would cost more than that. The page says so before you order and switches to the roll price rather than letting you overpay.
- What widths does it come in?
- 60 cm, 91 cm and 122 cm. Those are the widths the roll is made in, so the width is chosen and the length is cut. We cut across the roll rather than down it.
- Do you cut to size, or only to length?
- We cut to length. The width comes from the roll, in 60, 91 or 122 cm, and you choose the length in half metres, so a custom size here means a custom length at one of three widths. For a shape that is not a rectangle, or a run made of several pieces, send the measurements and we will price it.
- Do the cut ends have bevelled edges?
- No, and that is deliberate. The roll carries a bevel down both long edges and we cut across the width, so those two bevels stay on your matting and the two cut ends are square. Butt the square ends to a wall, a bench leg or a machine base and the exposed edges are the ones people step over.
- How thick is Grid Grey matting, and what is it for?

- Do you deliver outside the UK?
- Yes. Stock is held in the UK and in the EU, so a UK order ships from UK stock and an EU order ships from EU stock. Delivery is free over £75 in the UK and over €89 in the EU, which are two stated figures rather than one converted from the other.
- How exact is the cut?
- Within 1 cm of the length you ordered, and we cut on the generous side of the line rather than the mean side. Foam is compressible, so a tape laid along it under tension reads shorter than one laid slack, which is why a tolerance tighter than that would be a promise nobody could keep. If it arrives outside it, that is our mistake to fix.
- Is VAT added at checkout?
- No VAT is added. The price shown is the price charged. There is no tax line and no surprise at the payment step, in either currency.
